Introduction

It was asked of me why I would want to follow a Jedi path, and I realized it wasn’t something that I had to consciously choose; it had been there with me the whole time. Many of the concepts were worked in to my subconscious in my watching of the original Star Wars trilogy as a child. The Force became a part of my worldview. The ethics were echoed and strengthened by what my parents taught me. And this little Jedi was born.

Along the way, whether or not I thought of myself as a follower of the Jedi path, I kind of did anyway. Helping people was important to me, and I chose to enter a healing profession. One of my focuses has been working to correct healthcare disparities. I learned martial arts basics (primarily tae kwon do) and kept myself active through stage combat. I practiced meditation and basic reiki.

As far as community goes, I spent some time on message boards and lists a long time ago, but didn’t complete any formal courses. But it’s impossible to learn everything in a vacuum, and some of the best growth can come from interacting with others. I’m also curious as to how the community is now, and how it’s changed with more years under it’s belt. So basically I’m working to get involved, joining message boards and as of now, at least one training site. Currently this blog is just a journal, and it doesn’t need to be more than that – but if I do have conversations as a result, all the better. Here goes!
